Dick McEvoy has exhibited in numerous international locations including France, Italy and Taiwan, along with many sites in the U.S., and his paintings are in over 350 private and corporate collections.
McEvoy was born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, lived most of his formative years in Duxbury Massachusetts, and he and his wife have lived in Newtown Connecticut since 1981. He paints abstract impressionist works in oil and enamel and impressionist landscapes in pastel.
Dick has painted consistently since studying with Herman Margulies in the early 1980s, and his formal art education includes courses at Rhode Island School of Design while earning his B.A. in Psychology at Brown University, and studying with Violette DeMazia at the Barnes Museum while at the Wharton Business School.
- 20+ Years of national and international Juried Show Exhibitions including the Pastel Society of America, Audubon Art Association, Connecticut Pastel Society, and including exhibitions at the Mattatuck Museum and the Slater Museum.
